November 19, 2005 - The 50th Anniversary of the book, Studies in the Economics of Transportation, by Beckmann, McGuire, and Winsten was celebrated at the INFORMS National Meeting in San Francisco, California on November 14, 2005. For the presentations and photos see Network Classics.

November 18, 2005 - Professor Nagurney was awarded a Moving Spirit Award by INFORMS on November 15, 2005  at the National Meeting in San Francisco, California for her work as Faculty Advisor to the UMass-Amherst INFORMS Student Chapter. November 16, 2005 - Professors Braess and Nagurney and Tina Wakolbinger have translated the Braess (1968) paper with the Paradox and it appears in the November 2005 issue of Transportation Science with a preface by Professors Boyce and Nagurney. Article on the translation was added

May 20, 2005 - The Center Director is deeply sorry to report the passing of Professor George B. Dantzig of Stanford University on May 13, 2005. Professor Dantzig, the developer of the simplex method, was one of the founders of Operations Research. He was an intellectual giant, a true gentleman, and friend. His photo and a link to his obituary were added to Photos of Network Innovators.

May 16, 2005 -  Photos from the NSF Workshop at Penn State, the visit to the Center by Jack Ampuja, and the INFORMS Student Chapter End of the Year Party were added to Center Photos. Mr Ampuja's slides were added to Visuals. An article from the UMass Commencement Website on the awarding of the Leaders of the 21st Century Awards to 14 students, including Center Associate Maxfield Raynolds,  was added to Media Coverage.
