On November 15, 2013, at the 60th Annual North American Meetings of the Regional Science Association International in Atlanta, Georgia, a special session was organized to celebrate the 50th consecutive North American Regional Science Meeting attended by Professor David E. Boyce, Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois and currently Adjunct Professor of Civil Engineering at Northwestern University.

Speaking in the session were: Professors T. John Kim of the University of Illinois, Marco Nie of Northwestern University, Kieran Donaghy of Cornell University, and Hillel Bar-Gera of Ben Gurion University of the Negev. The session was organized and chaired by Professor Anna Nagurney of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

We congratulate Professor Boyce on this achievement and thank him for his scholarly leadership and mentorship in Regional Science.
