Professor Nagurney is listed as one of the top 50 Intellectual Leaders of Regional Science since the founding of the discipline fifty years ago in a recent article, Intellectual Leaders of Regional Science: A Half-Century Citation Study, by Professor Andrew M. Isserman of the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. In the article, she is also listed as 13th on the Intellectual Leaders of the Spread Generation (1977-1989) list, even though she only received her PhD in 1983.
