Professor Nagurney is listed
as one of the top 50 Intellectual Leaders of Regional Science since the
founding of the discipline fifty years ago in a recent article, Intellectual
Leaders of Regional Science: A Half-Century Citation Study, by Professor
Andrew M. Isserman of the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. In
the article, she is also listed as 13th on the Intellectual Leaders of
the Spread Generation (1977-1989) list, even though she only received her
PhD in 1983.
The article was published in the The Brightest of Dawns: 50 Years of Regional Science: Golden Anniversary Issue of “Papers in Regional Science” edited by Raymond J. G. M. Florax and David A. Plane. Papers in Regional Science, Volume 83, Number 1, January 2004, pages 91 - 126. Professor Nagurney thanks Professor Isserman for his thorough study and is humbled to be included in a list that contains names of scholars whose intellectual contributions and scholarship she and her students continue to value to this day. |
