Biographies: Anna Nagurney is the
John F. Smith Memorial Professor in the Department of Finance and
Operations Management in the Isenberg School of Management at the
University of Massachusetts at Amherst and the Director of the Virtual
Center for Supernetworks. She devotes her career to education and
research that combines management, economics, and engineering. Her
focus is the applied and theoretical aspects of network systems,
particularly in the areas of transportation, logistics, economics, and
finance. Tina Wakolbinger is a Ph.D. student in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She received a Masters in International Economic and Business Studies from the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck in Innsbruck, Austria. Her research interests lie in the modeling and analysis of complex decision-making on network systems with a specific focus on global issues. She is especially interested in social and knowledge networks interacting with supply chain and financial networks. |
TITLE: Social Networks: New Paradigms for Modeling, Applications, Computations, and Visualization |
Abstract: This talk discusses our
recent research on the integration of social networks with other
networks, including supply chains, and financial networks. |
